On September 21 – International Day of Peace, an event on “Peace and Human Rights in the Digital Environment” was held at Nakhchivan State University on the occasion of the International Day of Peace.

The event, organized by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Nakhchivan State University, aimed to increase digital literacy among young people, promote safe and proper use of the Internet, and strengthen awareness of digital rights and freedoms.

Speaking at the event, Inji Hasanova, an employee of the Ministry, and Shabnam Huseynova, an employee of Nakhchivan State University, emphasized the importance of protecting human rights in the digital environment, ensuring the security of personal data, strengthening cybersecurity measures, as well as forming an environment based on mutual respect and healthy communication in the online space.

The event provided information on the opportunities and challenges created by digital technologies, the digital rights and responsibilities of young people, as well as issues related to information security.

It should be noted that the event was organized within the framework of the "Peace Month" announced by the Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, covering the dates of August 21 - September 21.
