September 20 – On the occasion of State Sovereignty Day and World Cleanup Day, an ecological cleaning campaign was held in the water basin and the surrounding area with the participation of employees of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and “Nakhchivan Post and Telecommunications Center” LLC.

The purpose of the campaign was to emphasize the essence and historical significance of State Sovereignty Day, and at the same time, to contribute to the protection of the environment, the promotion of a culture of ecological responsibility and care for nature by joining the call of World Cleanup Day.

During the event, it was stated that sovereignty is not only to own our land, but also to take possession of it. Protecting the homeland is the responsibility to protect its land, water and nature, and to pass it on to future generations in a cleaner and healthier way.

It was noted that today Azerbaijan has fully ensured its sovereignty throughout its territory. Such an initiative carried out on State Sovereignty Day also expresses the responsibility of each citizen in relation to their land. World Cleanup Day once again reminds us that the protection of nature is the common responsibility of society as a whole, not only of individual institutions.

As part of the campaign, cleaning work was carried out in the coastal part of the water basin and the surrounding areas, and various waste was collected and transported from the area.

In addition to increasing attention to environmental protection, the event also served to strengthen unity, team spirit and a sense of social responsibility among the collective.

The Ministry intends to continue such initiatives aimed at protecting the environment and promoting social responsibility.
