On September 22, a meeting dedicated to the “State Program on the Development of Mining (Metal Ore) and Metallurgical Industry in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2027–2030” was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

Speaking at the event, the Head of State said:

- Among the adopted programs, of course, I would first of all mention three main directions, although many more programs have been adopted. But state programs on agriculture, transport, water management - both land reclamation and water supply of Baku and the Absheron Peninsula - certainly require very large funds. But these programs will strengthen the country's economy, and at the same time ensure the social situation of citizens and the provision of modern infrastructure.

- Of course, other infrastructure projects have also been successfully implemented and are being implemented, including projects related to social infrastructure - hospital construction, school construction, highways, railways, airports. Therefore, the development of the non-oil sector, including these infrastructure projects, is conditioned by them.
